Navratri 2021 colour of the day: Here`s how can wear green to perfection

FT NEWS

Navratri or Navratra is one of the biggest Hindu festivals celebrated in the country. The festival spans 9 days and 9 nights, which go in reverence of Goddess Durga and her 9 avatars. The second day of this auspicious festival is dedicated to Goddess Brahmacharini (a manifestation of Goddess Durga). This day is meant to seek spiritual knowledge. The auspicious colour for this day is green. Devotees ensure that they wear this powerful hue for the festivities and puja ceremonies.
If you too want to flaunt the colour today, we bring to you some ways you can experiment with green colour on the second day of Navratri 2021:

Sari

If you love the six yard drape, pick up a beautiful green sari like Vidya Balan. Vidya flaunted a bottle-green sari by Vedika M. The hand-brush painted sari featured abstract white blocks. She paired the sari with a bottle-green dyed blouse. The actress accessorised the look with Vidya with gold earrings.

Lehenga

If you are a lehenga person, try something like Madhuri. We loved her sage green lehenga by Torani. The pretty lehenga choli featured intricate hand embroidery. Madhuri finished off the look with diamond and emerald drop necklace, matching earrings and a cocktail ring.

Salwar kurta

If you'd like to keep things simple yet elegant during Navratri, you could opt for a green kurta set like Kareena Kapoor Khan. The actress stunned in a parrot green kurta decorated with a gold foil comb print by Masaba. She finished off the look with metallic kolhapuri flats, pretty earrings and Bulgari’s signature Serpenti Tubogas spiral watch in gold.
